Fingerprints are considered the best and the most used tools for criminal evidence. When there is a crime the law always tries to refer to the fingerprints in order to know the truth and show evidence. Fingerprints can decisively discover the criminal from the victim. Fingerprints are considered tools to evidence because they are reliable and juries can rely on to know the truth.

good example of evidence, i myself reflected on the use of images as evidence and was wondering to what exten one can rely on images as evidence knowing that technology keeps advancing and anything could be modified! There are no originals or unique images, simularca is everywhere. It is true that fingerprints can be very powerful in defining a criminal and help in inculpating the killer or criminal but it can also be used by other criminal thanks to technology advancements one can now have an artificial copy of a fingerprint of someone else! Does this mean that anyone could pretend to be anyone else and use even their fingerprint?!! Scary...
It is amazing how images can have power over us. In this example we are not seeing a fingerprint, we rather see an image of a fingerprint. and guess what we still believe it is enough as evidence to prove the identity of a killer. Science is really giving more and more reliability and importance to images. But can we always consider images as evidence. Have a look at or "through" my blog and read my discussion about image as evidence.
